EPL: Arsenal beat Aston Villa

Arsenal clinched a crucial 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park in their second English Premier League game on Saturday.
The first half proved frustrating for both sides, marred by frequent stoppages that disrupted Arsenal’s free-flow play. It ended with no goals as both teams traded tackles, playing hard to control the game.
Bukayo Saka came close to scoring, but Villa’s Emi Martinez made a fantastic save, parrying the shot wide.
Aston Villa created two good chances, but Ollie Watkins could not convert them. The first opportunity saw him miss from a Morgan Rogers nice delivery, while the second, a header, was brilliantly saved by David Raya.
Leandro Trossard’s introduction into the game added more power to Arsenal’s striking force. He broke the deadlock for the Gunners in the 67th minute and set Thomas Partey up for another goal that sealed victory for the Gunners.
Arsenal’s victory extends their impressive winning streak this season. With two wins in two games, the Gunners are third on the EPL log, behind champions Manchester City and Brighton on goal difference.
