Mr Enyiekere was the first Southern Nigerian to become the head of the NASC since its creation on June 19, 2001, said a statement by the commission.

It disclosed that the commissioners who reported to duty alongside the chairman include Hanmation Tersoo and Salisu Agboola-Balogun (North-Central).

“I thank President Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and the leadership of the National Assembly for giving us the opportunity to serve.

“I pledge that we will lead the Service towards achieving the legislative mandate of government,” Mr Enyiekere said.
