#EndHunger: Police detain 50 suspected miscreants in Katsina

The police command in Katsina has detained 50 suspected miscreants during the nationwide #EndHunger protests over economic hardship in Nigeria.
The command’s spokesman, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, disclosed this to journalists on Thursday.
He, however, said that no loss of life was recorded during the protests in Katsina.
He said, “The state is now relatively calm as the protests have been contained.”
Mr Aliyu added that the security arrangements have been reinforced in the state.
Meanwhile, some Katsina youths have vandalised public facilities, including streetlights and carted away cables, solar panels and poles.
They also destroyed drainage and culverts and removed rods, among others.
