Elon Musk’s X to host Trump in live town hall ahead of November poll

Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, has plans to host former American president, Donald Trump, in a live video town hall ahead of American polls in November.
Wall Street Journal on Thursday reported that X plans to host Mr Trump in a live town hall, citing a source familiar with the social media platform’s plans.
“The plans are part of a broader push by Musk to make X a centre of political discussion,” WSJ said, adding that President Joe Biden declined invitation to do a debate or a town hall.
The newspaper also said “X is also planning a similar town hall for the independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.” But dates for the live town hall are undecided.
Mr Musk on Friday said town hall with the Republican presidential nominee will be interesting.
“This will be interesting,” Mr Musk tweeted, quoting the New York Times’ story of his social media platform planning to host Mr Trump in a live video town hall.
On Thursday, Mr Trump was convicted on a 34-count charge of concealing payment and information about an alleged sexual indiscretion to porn star, Stormy Daniels, before the 2016 presidential polls.
