Eko DisCo confirms power outage as blackout rocks parts of Lagos

The Eko Electricity Distribution Company has attributed the power blackout being experienced in some parts of Lagos to an outage on Unity 11kV feeder, in Ojo caused by a line fault.
According to EEDC on its X platform on Tuesday, EEDC said those affected are its customers in Mosadolorun, Orelope and environs.
It, however, assured that power will be restored soon.
The tweet read, “Dear Valued Customer, kindly be informed that the present outage on Unity 11kV feeder, in Ojo district, is due to a line fault.
“Areas affected: Mosadolorun, Orelope and environs.
“Efforts are ongoing to restore supply as soon as possible. Kindly bear with us,” it added.
This is coming five days after the national grid collapsed twice under six hours, leaving the country in total darkness.
Attempt by Peoples Gazette to confirm if this was another grid collapse, proved abortive as the spokesperson for the Transmission Company of Nigeria, Ndidi Mbah, refused to respond to enquiry.
