Rep. Aminu Jaji (APC-Zamfara) has purchased 3,000 rams for distribution to his constituents, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and others, for the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir festival.

This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Saturday by the chairman of the lawmaker’s coordinating committee, Aliyu Abubakar.

Mr Jaji represents Birinin Magani/Kaura Namoda Federal Constituency in Zamfara.

According to Mr Abubukar, the lawmaker had also earmarked N300 million for distribution to individuals, orphans, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and vulnerable groups across the state as Eid-el-Kabir Sallah welfare packages.

He said, “This is the annual gesture of the lawmaker to assist the Muslim faithful, especially the less-privileged families to perform sacrifices and celebrate this year’s Eid-el-kabir festival in a happy mood.

“The beneficiaries include prominent personalities in the state, various categories of former political appointees, state, local government and wards party executives and the members of the State APC Elders Committee.

“The beneficiaries also include former Directors General, former local government councils Chairmen and their deputies as well as councillors among others.”

Mr Abubakar added that other categories of the beneficiaries include Islamic scholars, dtate executives of Jajiyya Political Movement  and Jajiya political Associations  across the state, APC youths and women groups, among others.

Mr Jaji, therefore, called on the Muslim faithful to use the  Eid-el-Kabir period to intensify prayers for sustainable peace and stability in the state and the country as a whole.
