Eid-el-Fitr: NSCDC beefs up security in Kwara with 2,500 operatives

The Kwara command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed about 2,500 personnel in the state to ensure a hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
This is contained in a statement signed by Ayeni Olasunkanmi, the command’s spokesman and made available to journalists on Thursday in Ilorin.
It said the NSCDC commandant, Muhammed Ibrahim, urged the personnel to do their best to enable Kwara residents to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr peacefully.
The commandant appealed to the public, especially youths, to cooperate with security agents and celebrate moderately.
He assured the public that the NSCDC would continuously give its best to justify the confidence reposed in them.
