Eid-el-Fitr: Minister tasks Nigerians on promotion of national growth

The Minister of Steel Development, Shuaibu Audu, has urged Nigerians to foster national growth by refraining from actions capable of pulling the country backwards.
Mr Audu also implored Nigerians to resolve to live in peace, harmony, and unity to shore up development in the country.
He made the call in his special message to felicitate with Muslims for the successful completion of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.
His message was conveyed by his Special Assistant on Media, Lizzy Okoji, on Wednesday in Abuja.
The minister urged the Muslims and others to continue to live according to the essence of Ramadan, which includes prayers, piety, and almsgiving.
“Ramadan has come and gone, but we must continue to live by the essence of the season without deviating. As compatriots, just like the Prophet Mohammed has taught us, it is important for us to live in peace, love, and unity, be our brothers and sisters keepers. And refrain from actions detrimental to our fellow citizens and Nigeria as a nation,” he said.
According to him, Nigerians should continue to fervently pray, especially for President Bola Tinubu and his cabinet, as they discharge their duties.
He said that the team needed prayers because they were responsible for driving and implementing the ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda for the betterment and development of the country.
He wished the Muslim Ummah across the country and other Nigerians a happy Eid celebration.
“On behalf of my family and the entire staff and Management of the Federal Ministry of Steel Development, I wish our Muslim Ummah and Nigerians a happy Eid-el-Fitri,” he said.
