Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested two brothers and 53 other suspected internet fraudsters in Ibadan.
The success of the operation was the result of surveillance and intelligence gathered by the anti-graft personnel of the Ibadan Zonal command of the agency.
The commission’s spokesman said on Saturday that the brothers, Ogunbanjo Omotayo Olakunle and Ogunbajo Abiodun Akorede, were arrested on September 30.
Arrested alongside their league at the Awa-Ijebu area of Ibadan, Oyo, items recovered from them include eight exotic cars, laptops, phones and various electronic gadgets.
EFCC said that 51 of the suspects were indicted by the forensic analyses done on their devices, and that they will be charged to court after investigation is concluded.
