EFCC detains 21 suspected internet fraudsters in Yola

The EFCC said that the suspects would soon be charged to court.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said it apprehended 21 suspected internet fraudsters in Yola, Adamawa State.

The commission’s Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, said this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.

He said operatives of the Gombe Zonal Directorate of the commission nabbed the suspects on September 24, 2024, at different locations around Moddibo Adamawa University, Yola.

Mr Oyewale listed the items recovered to include 13 iphones, 12 Android phones, one laptop and one tablet phone.

According to him, the suspects will soon be charged to court.
