EFCC arrests 22 suspected internet fraudsters in Benin

Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 22 suspected internet fraudsters at different locations within Benin City.
Its spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, said this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.
According to him, the suspects were arrested based on actionable intelligence regarding their suspected involvement in internet-related fraud.
Mr Oyewale said the suspects were arrested on Tuesday at different places within Benin City.
“Items recovered from them include 10 exotic cars, laptops and phones.
“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” he said.
