Edo deputy gov calls for love, understanding as Muslims observe Ramadan

The deputy governor of Edo, Dennis Idahosa, on Sunday, called for a future built on love, understanding and unity as the Muslim faithful observe Ramadan.
Mr Idahosa, in a statement by his chief press secretary, Friday Aghedo, said Ramadan was a time for reflection, spiritual discipline, and strengthening of community bonds.
The deputy governor urged Nigerians to use this period to foster forgiveness, promote peace and support one another.
“Together, let us build a future where love and understanding prevail and where the light of hope shines brightly for all,” he said.
Mr Idahosa encouraged Muslims to embrace the values of Ramadan, which included self-discipline, charity, and kindness, adding that these principles could help create a more harmonious and inclusive society.
He also prayed for Allah’s guidance and blessings upon everyone observing Ramadan.
