Easter/Ramadan: FRSC embarks on special operation in Zamfara

The Federal Road Safety Corps in Zamfara says it has deployed more personnel to strategic locations in the state to ensure the free flow of traffic during Ramadan, which coincides with the 2022 Easter celebrations.
The FRSC sector commander in the state, Iro Danladi, who spoke with journalists on Monday, said the move had become necessary considering the increase in traffic.
Mr Danladi assured that the command’s stand-by rescue team would be ready to promptly respond to distress calls in road crashes or road obstructions anywhere in the state.
He noted that the three unit commands in Talata Mafara, Kaura Namoda and Tsafe were also alerted to offer similar services during the particular operation.
The sector commander added that the 10 station offices in the remaining local government areas in the state would concentrate on public education and enlightenment and report issues on the road for prompt response by the nearby command.
He further reiterated the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property on the roads.
