Deceitful relationships retarding Nigeria’s journey to greatness: Cleric

A Kaduna-based cleric, John Kaje, has observed that Nigeria’s journey to greatness had remained “bumpy” because some individuals chose to be deceitful in their relationships with others.
Mr Kaje, the presiding pastor, Evangelical Church, Winning All (ECWA), Oil Village, Kaduna, made the observation on Sunday.
Delivering a sermon with the theme “Believer and his integrity in a corrupt world,” the cleric said the world was corrupt because people had lost their integrity in pursuing material things.
The cleric said God would bless the country if the people lived a life of integrity and godliness.
“What we need as Christians is to live a life of integrity to gain trust and live in harmony with all people.
“We must all strive to be credible, whether as politicians, civil servants, businessmen and women, clergy, leaders or followers.
“Do what is right before men and before God, and your integrity as a believer will guide you, while a corrupt attitude will destroy you,” he admonished.
According to him, people should learn to be honest at all times to attract goodwill and favour from God.
Mr Kaje added that people must learn to be different by holding on to their beliefs by living honest and truthful lives even when the world seems to be corrupted.
The pastor pointed out that a life of dishonesty had usually attracted negativity and destruction to those who indulged in it.
He urged Nigerians, no matter their tribe or religion, to live according to God’s commandments to attract infinite blessings.
