Death toll rises to 33 in Beijing after heavy rainfall

After the heavy rains from tropical storm Doksuri in Beijing last week, the death toll has risen to 33, state television reported on Wednesday.
In the immediate aftermath of the storm hitting the Chinese capital, 11 deaths were initially reported.
Chinese state television on Wednesday reported that there were 22 more victims.
At least five aid workers were among the dead. Eighteen people are missing.
Tropical storm Doksuri triggered the heaviest rainfall to hit Beijing since records began 140 years ago.
This happened beside the Chinese capital, in the neighbouring province of Hebei, which was particularly hard hit, with dozens of deaths also reported there.
