Deadly explosion rocks Jos

The capital of Plateau, Jos, was on Tuesday rocked by a powerful explosion which might have resulted in the injury of many residents.
Peoples Gazette gathered that the explosion happened around 10:00 a.m. near the Terminus Market.
While there are no clear details of the blast, witnesses painted a gory scene.
The police command in Plateau has not been successfully contacted as of the time of filing this report.
However, security sources at the command confirmed the incident, noting that an investigation had commenced.
“The area has been cordoned off as investigators begin to assess the situation. We are working to determine the cause of the explosion. We urge calm and assure the public that we will do everything possible to ensure their safety.”
