Court remands man for stealing fowls worth N900,000

A Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court, on Wednesday, remanded a 50-year-old man, Ibrahim Jubril, in the Awarjigoh correctional facility for stealing ”fowls” worth N900,000.
The chief magistrate, A. Afolabi, gave the order after Mr Jubril pleaded guilty to stealing the chickens belonging to Dorcas Kusimo, the complainant.
Mr Afolabi adjourned the case until February 10 for sentencing.
Earlier, the prosecutor, DSP Clement Okuiomose, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on January 21 at Kusimo Way, Age-Mowo, Badagry, Lagos.
Mr Okuiomose said that the defendant also conducted himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by causing pandemonium.
He said that the offence violated the provisions of sections 168 and 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
