Court remands man for defiling eight-year-old girl

On Tuesday, the Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court remanded a 51-year-old man Sulaimon Gbadamosi, in Kirikiri Prison custody for defiling an eight-year-old girl.
Mr Gbadamosi was charged with a felony to wit defilement.
The prosecutor, Olawunmi Osibanjo, said the defendant committed the crime on December 15, 2022, at his workplace.
Ms Osibanjo told the court that the case was reported at the police station, and the defendant was arrested.
The presiding magistrate, T.A. Shotobi, rejected the suspect’s plea and ordered his remand until February 9, pending the director of public prosecution’s legal advice.
