Corrupt Obasanjo jealous of Tinubu being master strategist: Presidential Aide

Presidential aide, Dada Olusegun, has berated former President Olusegun Obasanjo as the father of corrupt in Nigeria jealous of President Bola Tinubu, the master strategist.
Mr Olusegun’s outburst on X on Thursday came amid Mr Obasanjo’s description of Mr Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as ‘corrupt small minds.’’
The ex-president also dismissed the Lagos-Calabar project as “Typical examples of waste, corruption and misplaced priority” in his latest book.
Berating Mr Obasanjo for leaving a legacy of corruption after eight years in office, Mr Olusegun said, “Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has just published a memoir containing claims that would further relegate his integrity as the leader who opened Nigeria to the cankerworms of corruption by neglecting important projects that could have changed the trajectory of this country if he had focused on what mattered in his days.”
The presidential aide claimed that the Lagos-Calabar project would change Nigeria’s economic fortunes for life, labelling Mr Tinubu a master strategist Mr Obasanjo must be jealous of.
“Like the Sokoto-Badagry Highway and Lagos-Abuja Highway, the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road is project that will change the economic landscape of our country FOR LIFE and former President OBJ must pretend not to be jealous of the master strategist who is rewriting the history of the southwestern presidency by fixing all that needs to be fixed across the country,” Mr Olusegun said.
Mr Obasanjo’s criticism of Mr Tinubu in his new book continues to trend, dominating public discourse on Thursday.
In the book, ‘Nigeria: Past and Future,’ the former president condemned Mr Tinubu’s spending of N21 billion on a new official residence for Mr Shettima, describing it as a misplaced priority designed to waste public funds.
He stated, “And the new vice-president’s official residence was built at a cost of N21 billion in the time of economic hardship to showcase the administration hitting the ground running and to show the importance of the office of the vice-president. What small minds!”
