Commission starts online recruitment of ad-hoc staff ahead of Plateau LG poll

The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission said it will soon commence online recruitment of ad-hoc staff preparatory to the October 9 local government election.
A statement by the PLASIEC Head of Media, Koro Yakubu, on Friday in Jos, said that the recruitment process would be conducted within two weeks, starting September 1 to September 14, 2024.
Ms Yakubu advised interested applicants to submit their applications through the PLASIEC official recruitment portal at https://plasiec.ng/recruitments.
She said, “This is an opportunity for qualified and motivated individuals to partake in the electoral process. Applicants must be 18 years and above, and possess a valid National Identification Card. For the purpose of this election, PLASIEC is prioritising staff and students of the state-owned tertiary institutions. Experience in previous electoral duties and possession of an Android phone is an advantage. Applicants are required to accurately complete the online application form available on the recruitment portal. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The head of media assured the public that PLASIEC remained committed to upholding the principles of fairness, transparency, and integrity in all its operations.
