Commandant lauds Jigawa’s donation of five motorcycles to boost security operations
The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa State, Kabir Ingawa, has commended the state government for donating five operational motorcycles to the command.
Mr Ingawa gave the commendation during an interview in Dutse, on Tuesday.
He said that the corps received the five brand new motorcycles from the state government to strengthen the operational capacity of the command in the protection of lives, property and critical national assets across the state.
He explained that the motorcycles were officially handed over to the command as part of the state government’s continuous support to security agencies working tirelessly to maintain peace and stability in the state.
The commandant, noted that the intervention was timely, saying it would significantly enhance the mobility and rapid response capability of the NSCDC personnel, particularly in rural areas and hard-to-reach communities.
Mr Ingawa assured that the motorcycles would be deployed to strategic locations to support ongoing security operations, surveillance activities and protection of critical infrastructure within the state.
He stated, “The command will make judicious use of the motorcycles to improve operational efficiency. It will also help to strengthen the corps’ mandate of safeguarding lives and property in collaboration with other security agencies and stakeholders to ensure sustained peace, safety and security across the state.”
