Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi, has felicitated Christians on the 2022 Christmas celebrations.

A statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary (CPS) on Sunday in Lokoja, said the Christmas season signified the coming of hope for mankind.

Mr Bello urged citizens to remain positive and believe that the current distress which had persisted among the nations of the world and being felt acutely in Nigeria would soon ease.

He enjoined citizens to emulate God’s love for mankind by replicating the same to their neighbours during the season through an act of generosity towards the less-privileged.

The governor said that the holiday was perfect for spending quality time with family, friends and loved ones.

He admonished Nigerians to engage in spiritual reflections and prayers for the peace, unity and prosperity of the beloved country.

Mr Bello advised every registered voter in Kogi and across Nigeria to make sure they collected their PVCs and vote when the time comes.

He said the APC’s presidential ticket of Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, represented the country’s best chance for renewed hope and a nation that works for all.

The governor said that voting for one’s choice remained a mandatory civic duty which should be taken seriously.

Mr Bello urged the people to celebrate the 2022 Christmas without fear as topnotch security measures had been put in place across the state for their safety.
