Chinese vice-premier urges U.S. dialogue on trade dispute resolution

The Chinese vice-premier, He Lifeng, has urged the U.S. to resolve trade disputes with China through equal dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Mr Lifeng made the remark during the first meeting of the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism, from Monday to Tuesday, in London.
He said the meeting was with the U.S. lead person, treasury secretary Scott Bessent, U.S. commerce secretary Howard Lutnick and trade representative Jamieson Greer.
According to him, China reiterates that the U.S. should work with China to honour their words with actions.
“Also, the U.S. should demonstrate sincerity in keeping commitments and concrete efforts to implement consensus so as to jointly safeguard the hard-won outcomes of dialogue,” he said.
