Chimaroke Nnamani cries out after defeat to LP, says Peter Obi ‘scourge’ on Igboland

Hours after he was defeated by Labour Party candidate, Kelvin Chukwu, former Enugu governor Chimaroke Nnamani berated LP’s presidential candidate Peter Obi, calling him a twin “blight and scourge” on Igboland.
“Peter “Gringory” Obi has set the Igbo political trajectory 24 years back,” Mr Nnamani lamented. “He has become a twin Blight & Scourge on the Land.
Pained by his loss at the poll, Mr Nnamani lamented that Mr Obi’s “devious Opium served to Christians within sections of Nigeria and to Igbo domiciled in different sections of Nigeria is wicked and dangerous.”
Spokeperson for LP, Yunusa Tanko, in a telephone call with Peoples Gazette on Monday, said Mr Obi represents “the new generation of Nigerian politics”.
“Nnamani’s statement is a cry of a drowning man who lost election. We say bye bye to his dynasty of political hooliganism. We have retired most of these politicians who mean no good for the Nigerian people. That we will continue to do,” the Labour spokesperson said.
Berating Mr Nnamani as a drowning man, Mr Tanko said the former Enugu governor has “completely lost it,” adding that Mr Obi “represents the new generation of Nigerian politics with the Nigerian youth deeply involved.”
