Buhari hands over to Tinubu, departs Eagle Square for Daura

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has departed Eagle Square for the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, en route to his hometown, Daura, Katsina.
Mr Buhari left immediately Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima were sworn in as president and vice president on Monday.
Before his departure, Mr Buhari formally handed over flags to the new president.
On Sunday, Mr Buhari had dinner in the State House’s banquet hall and bade Nigerians goodbye.
He said he would retire to his hometown to care for his “cows and sheep,” which are “much easier to control than fellow Nigerians.”
Mr Buhari will, on Tuesday in Daura, be treated to the Durbar ceremony as a mark of welcome.
