Brazil regain top spot in FIFA ranking; lead seeds for World Cup draw

Brazil have overtaken Belgium at the top of the world rankings released by global football governing body FIFA on Thursday.
They now lead the seeds for the 2022 World Cup group phase draw as a result.
Host nation Qatar have been given the number one spot as usual for Friday’s draw in Doha with Brazil second and Belgium third.
Mexico, the Netherlands and Germany look the strongest sides among the second seeds and African champions Senegal could pose problems from the third pot.
Canada are among the fourth seeds in their first World Cup in 36 years.
This bottom grouping also contains the three remaining sides to be confirmed for the last 32-nation tournament.
