Boko Haram terrorists have regrouped and are currently restrategising to launch an attack on Nigerian Christians and residents of the FCT, a secret memo by Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) stated.

“Certified intelligence reveals that members of the decimated terrorist group, Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) have concluded plan to launch more coordinated and spontaneous attacks on selected targets within the FCT and have declared war against Christians in Nigeria,” reads the leaked memo first seen by Leadership.

The NSCDC FCT commandant, Peter Maigari, in the memo dated July 8 and subtitled ‘RENEWED THREAT OF ATTACK BY ISWAP TERRORIST ON TARGETS WITHIN THE FCT’, said the Kuje jailbreak was engineered to enable released terrorists “hibernate in targeted communities (FCT) and re-strategize for further terrorist activities, especially on soft targets to keep the agenda of the group alive to the public.”

Mr Maigari addressed the memo to the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), stressing that the jailbreak was devised as a means to fortify the terrorist sect with more hands to carry out their evil assignments.

“Taking into consideration the recent attack on Kuje medium custodial centre for good two hours without any security resistance indicates their readiness to carry out more coordinated attacks in selected cities/towns, security formations, schools and worship centres in FCT, hence the release of their members for a more formidable squad to achieved (sic) the dastardly act,” the security alert further stated.

Mr Maigari advised that counter measures be emplaced and existing security measures reviewed “around such targets and other sensitive facilities with security formations, in FCT to frustrate the planned attack.”

64 Boko Haram terrorists and hundreds of other hardened criminals were released upon the attack on the Kuje prison Tuesday night.
