Bobrisky: Falz issues 24-hour ultimatum to VeryDarkMan over defamatory allegations

Nigerian rapper and activist Falz has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly called VeryDarkMan, demanding the retraction of defamatory statements made against him and his father, Femi Falana.
This ultimatum follows a viral video in which VeryDarkMan mentioned the Falana family in the allegations involving crossdresser Idris ‘Bobrisky’ Okuneye’s claim of bribing agents with N15 million to drop money-laundering charges levelled against him. Falz warned that failure to retract and apologise within the set timeframe would result in legal action, including a claim for monetary damages.
According to the letter, posted by Falz on his Instagram handle, VeryDarkMan’s statement is characterised as a “vicious, wicked and reckless ploy” aimed at damaging his reputation and public standing among “right-thinking members of the public.”
It demanded an immediate retraction of the “offensive and derogatory publication” and a prominently published apology on all platforms where it was disseminated, stating there is “no justification whatsoever” for the content.
