Berlin airport halts air traffic due to system outage

No planes were taking off or landing at Berlin’s Airport on Thursday morning, a spokeswoman said.
She said, “There are delays in handling due to a technical fault.”
“Meanwhile, flight operations have been suspended until 10:00 a.m.,” the spokeswoman for Berlin Brandenburg Airport said.
Local broadcaster RBB reported a server failure, but the spokeswoman would not confirm this.
Similar outages were being reported across the world, affecting airlines and airports, media outlets, banks and telecommunications companies.
