Benue: Man stabs wife to death during argument

The police command in Benue has confirmed the arrest of one Matthew Bem for stabbing his wife to death during a fight in Korinya in Konshisha Local Government Area (LGA) of Benue state on Tuesday.
The state police spokesperson, SP Sewuese Anene, confirmed the development to journalists in Makurdi.
Ms Anene said the victim, Mngusonun Bem, was stabbed by her husband during an argument, and she died shortly afterwards.
“He was fighting with his wife, and he stabbed her during the fight, and she died,” the police spokesperson said.
She said Mr Bem was arrested and is in police custody, adding that the investigation is ongoing.
