Benue governor appoints 2Baba technical adviser on entertainment

Music star Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Baba has been appointed Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach by Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State.
In a video circulating online, Mr Alia was praising 2Baba saying “You are a guru of entertainment, once you say two Baba, people start dancing, so we are happy you’re here.”
He then proceeded to announce the appointment, saying “On behalf of the Benue State government, we want to give you more responsibility plus the ones you’ve been doing so I’m pleased to announce we’ll make you Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach.”
Born Innocent Idibia, the Afrobeats veteran is one of the most prominent Nigerian musicians. He hails from Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
With over two decades in the music industry, 2Baba is best known for his 2004 classic African Queen and his advocacy around peace and youth empowerment.
In his new role, he is expected to use his music to promote creative development and grassroots engagement in the state.
