Bandits requesting N50 million ransom to free 20 abducted medical students:Victim

Bandits who abducted 20 medical students on their way to a convention in Enugu State two days ago are seeking N50 million ransom.
This was disclosed by one of the kidnapped students, Kingsley Aondona, on his X page around 6.26 p.m on Friday. It was unclear if the student sent the message on the social media platform from captivity or with his phone.
According to the student, they have been starving for two days.
Mr Aondona also posted the account details of his fellow medical student, Pius Samson, where he claimed the money can be sent for their release.
He also said that the bandits said they would start killing them the next day if the money was not paid.
“We were kidnapped on our way to Enugu for a convention @Nigerian_Doctor. They are requesting N50 million for 20 of us medical students. Please help us and we haven’t eaten for two days. 08163420157- Pius that is who we are gathering the money (sic),” Mr Aondona wrote.
He added, “They said they would start killing us tomorrow.”
