Bandits raid Federal University Dutsinma in Katsina, kidnap female students

The police command in Katsina has confirmed the kidnapping of five female students of the Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) in Katsina by bandits.
Police spokesman Abubakar Aliyu said the terrorists invaded the residents of the students behind Mariamoh Ajiri Memorial School, Dutsinma.
Mr Aliyu said the incident occurred at about 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
He said the police had arrested one person suspected of supplying information to the terrorists who abducted the students.
The spokesman said that efforts are on to rescue the victims unhurt.
Both male and female students are living off-campus due to insecurity.
