Arsenal wallop Sheffield United 6-0 in record-breaking victory

Arsenal intensified their pursuit of the Premier League title with a resounding 6-0 victory over Sheffield United, achieving a historic feat as the first top-flight team to secure three consecutive away wins by a margin of five or more goals.
Facing the formidable threat of relegation, Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United found themselves overwhelmed by Arsenal’s slick performance, evident from the early minutes at Bramall Lane amid rain.
Within five minutes, Martin Odegaard slotted in from close range, setting the tone after Bukayo Saka’s earlier slim effort.
Arsenal’s prolific form continued with a quickfire double, making it 3-0 within 15 minutes. Saka breezed down the right, delivering a cross that deflected off Jayden Bogle into the net. Gabriel Martinelli then smartly opened his body in the box, adding to Sheffield United’s first-half misery.
Arsenal’s dominance persisted as Kai Havertz and Declan Rice scored two more goals before halftime, compelling disheartened Sheffield United supporters to leave early.
In the second half, Martinelli continued to trouble Sheffield United’s defence, contributing to a spectacular tiki-taka build-up that led to Ben White unleashing a rocket into the net, securing Arsenal’s sixth goal.
While Arsenal slowed down the pace with a comfortable lead, the performance showcased their title ambitions, setting the stage for a thrilling battle with Manchester City and Liverpool.
In contrast, Sheffield United faced another dismal night, leaving them in desperate need of a miracle to secure their top-flight status for the next season.
