Army holds military exercise in Kaduna

The Nigerian Army Corps of Artillery says it will commence a military exercise in Kachia general area, Kaduna State, and advised residents not to panic.
A statement by assistant director Army public relations officer, Captain Adekunle Adeyemi, issued on Thursday in Kaduna, said the exercise would run from Oct. 20 to Nov. 3.
Mr Adeyemi explained that the exercise, code-named `EX-VULCAN GLOW IX’, would involve mass movement of troops, military weapons and equipment, as well as gunshots.
“The general public especially residents of Kachia and environs are advised not to panic and also to keep away from the general area of the exercise.
“The exercise will conclude with a firepower demonstration on October 30,” he added.
