Another Kuje prison escapee nabbed in Benue 

A police spokeswoman said Jude Ebube would be handed over to the Nigerian Correctional Service.

The police in Benue have arrested Jude Ebube who escaped during the Kuje jailbreak.

Police spokeswoman  Sewuese Anene in Makurdi said the escapee was arrested on July 19 at about 3:00 p.m., following a tip-off.  

Ms Anene said that the detectives deployed to investigate the case arrested Mr Ebube along George Akume Way in Makurdi.

“During investigation, he confessed to have escaped from Kuje Correctional Centre during the jailbreak.

“He stated further that he is an awaiting trial inmate, standing trial in a case of culpable homicide involving his girlfriend,” the police said.

The command said the prisoner would be handed over to the Nigerian Correctional Service.
