American rapper Fetty Wap jailed for cocaine trafficking

American rapper Willie Junior Maxwell II, popularly known as Fetty Wap, has been sentenced to six years’ imprisonment for cocaine pushing.
Fetty Wap, 31, was convicted on Wednesday by a federal court in Central Islip, New York, for his involvement in drug trafficking.
The rapper was first arrested in October 2021 for trafficking hard drugs, heroin, fentanyl and other drugs.
Famed for his 2015 hit track ‘Trap Queen’, Fetty Wap pleaded guilty to the charges in August.
He apologised in the courtroom for his involvement in drug trafficking on Wednesday.
“I hurt my community, people who look up to me, my family and myself,” Fetty Wap said. “I am truly sorry for any pain I caused.”
