Ali Ndume conspires with opposition by night, acts as APC member by day: Bwala

Special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on policy communication, Daniel Bwala, has alleged that Ali Ndume, the Borno South Senator under the ruling All Progressives Congress, secretly dines and associates with opposition political parties in the country.
“You allegedly meet and hobnob with coalition for a wild goose chase at night, and pretend to be an APC member during the day,” alleged Mr Bwala in a statement on Friday, in response to Mr Ndume tagging him a “maga dog” during Channels TV Politics Today on Friday.
“Anytime my name is mentioned you can’t help but insult me, but you would not tell the world how you drove to my office to thank me immensely for supporting you when Sen Saraki suspended you and was dealing with you. How about when you wanted to be senate president, how you came to my law office and waited for me for 2 hours to come,” Mr Bwala added.
Mr Ndume had, in the interview, also alleged that the APC was planning to field Mr Bwala to replace him as Borno South Senator in 2027, recalling that the presidential aide had once failed in the attempt—adding that he can’t even win a House of Assembly election.
But denying that he has senatorial ambition, Mr Bwala replied, “Senator Ali Ndume, your frustration is aging you by the day. I am not planning to run for senate, and there is no plan to replace you with my humble self in Southern Borno.”
“If anything, I think you are hunted by your utter failure to deliver on any promise to Southern Borno after over 21 years of representation in NASS,” explained Mr Bwala, noting that, “No wonder, Southern Borno excluded you from the list of honorees in the recent excellence award given to distinguished sons and daughters of Southern Borno.”
Mr Bwala condemned his constituent for always criticising leaders freely, while his “soldiers or boys” allegedly issue death threats to people anytime he is called out.
