Air Peace Ltd. has added its first Embraer 190 aircraft to its fleet, aiming to further strengthen its operational capacity and service delivery.

This is contained in a statement on Monday by the airline’s spokesman, Efe Osifo-Whiskey, in Lagos.

The aircraft, with registration 5N-CEF, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Sunday night.

Mr Osifo-Whiskey stated that the 118-seater aircraft is the first of its kind in the airline’s expanding fleet portfolio.

He added that another Embraer 190 is expected to arrive in July, supporting the airline’s strategic growth for domestic and regional routes.

“This aircraft introduces a new level of service efficiency, featuring eco-friendly systems and enhanced passenger comfort,” he said.

He noted the aircraft offers a 2-2 seating layout, a quiet engine, and a spacious cabin ideal for various routes.

“It allows seamless city connections and enables us to serve underserved destinations with suitable capacity,” Mr Osifo-Whiskey explained.

He reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to easing domestic air travel by continually investing in the right aircraft for its route network.

“With over 30 aircraft, Air Peace remains a leading player in West Africa’s aviation sector,” he said.

He added the airline recorded 85 per cent on-time performance across domestic routes as of May 2025.

Mr Osifo-Whiskey said Air Peace remains optimistic about its future, heading into the third quarter with confidence.

Plans include launching new domestic routes, expanding regionally, opening more international destinations, and continuing fleet acquisition to meet rising demand.
