Air Force institute offers free medical services in Kaduna community

The Air Force Institute of Technology on Saturday embarked on free medical services in Hayin Banki Community area of Kaduna State.
Speaking at the occasion, the Commandant of the institute, AVM Sani Rabe, said the gesture was part of the institute commitment to improving the health and well-being of its host communities.
Mr Rabe said, “We see it as our duty to contribute actively to the health and welfare of our neighbours, ensuring that our impact resonates beyond the confines of our campus. We extend this noble mission to Hayin Banki, an integral part of our surrounding community.”
Mr Rabe said that the programme aimed at addressing a wide spectrum of health needs is in partnership with the Kaduna State Primary Healthcare Development Agency.
He urged the community to take full advantage of the services provided to improve their health.
In his remarks, the community leader, Mamuda Shehu-Galadima, lauded the initiative and thanked the institute for choosing his community.
Mr Shehu-Galadima urged the members of the community to be orderly in accessing the services for maximum benefit.
A beneficiary of the outreach, Hafsat Abubakar, said it’s a welcome development that brought big relief to the community and environs.
She thanked the institute and urged it to sustain the tempo in promoting good neighbourliness.
Some of the medical services offered include medical consultations, screening for Hepatitis, HIV, minor surgeries, and distribution of mosquito nets.
Others include maternal and child care, and nutrition support for malnourished children.
