Agency, institute partner on effective traffic management training

The Kano Road Traffic Agency has expressed readiness to collaborate with the Kano State Corporate Security Institute to train its personnel on effective traffic management.
The institute is located in Zakirai, Gabasawa LGA.
The managing director of KAROTA, Faisal Mahmud, said this when the new commandant of the institute, Bello Muhammad, paid him a courtesy visit, according to a statement by the agency, Abubakar Ibrahim, on Tuesday.
Mr Mahmud said KAROTA will continue to prioritise training and retraining of its personnel to meet modern challenges in traffic management and service delivery.
“This will encourage our personnel to make the best use of the opportunity,” he said.
Earlier, Mr Muhammad said the visit was to discuss areas of mutual benefit between the two organisations. He stated that the institute is equipped with modern facilities for training paramilitary personnel in line with global best practices.
Mr Muhammad also commended the Kano State government for reviving the institute after years of neglect, saying it will now compete with similar institutions within and outside Nigeria.
He assured the public that the institute is ready to provide quality training to KAROTA road marshals for effective service delivery.
