Agege LG chairman pledge effective service delivery in 2026

The Chairman, Agege Local Government, AbdulGaniyu Obasa, on Tuesday said that the council would prioritise digitalisation and automation to enhance accountability and improve service delivery in 2026.
Mr Obasa stated this at council’s Secretariat in Agege at its first management meeting of 2026, where governance priorities for the year were outlined.
The chairman said that the administration would focus on modernising internal operations to improve service delivery.
The council remained committed to transparent, efficient and people centred governance.
He said, “Teamwork and inclusiveness would continue to guide the administration’s approach.”
Mr Obasa said that his administration was also committed to infrastructural development, healthcare improvement and social welfare programmes.
He reaffirmed the administration’s pledge to citizen‑focused governance, saying strategies agreed at the meeting would guide policy implementation throughout the year.
“A new year brings renewed focus and determination to serve., our residents remain our top priority,” the chairman said.
