Afghan minister calls for quality education

On Wednesday, the Afghan Acting Minister for Education called for providing quality education services across Afghanistan as the new academic year started in the country.
Mawlawi Habibullah said both religious and modern education remained vital for society’s progress and called for providing quality education services across Afghanistan.
“Getting quality religious and modern education is essential, and the only way to get rid of dependence on foreigners is the promotion of religious and modern knowledge in society,” said Mr Habibullah.
Afghanistan’s new academic year started on March 20, the first day of the Afghan new year, the year 1403 in the Persian calendar.
