Former Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi was in Ikenne, Ogun, on Tuesday, training with Remo Stars ahead of the new league season.

The former Lazio player took part in the full training session with the Sky Blue Stars at the Remo Stars Stadium as the Ogun-based club prepares for the resumption of the 2022/2023 season of the NPFL scheduled to begin on Sunday.

“Ogenyi Onazi paid a courtesy visit to our team’s training this Tuesday. Onazi, an AFCON winner with the Super Eagles, shared moments with the lads before the session,” the club posted on its social media page.

The 30-year-old is currently signed with Italian Serie D outfit Casertana FC, the semi-professional football team he joined in late 2022.

He played an important role in Nigeria’s Super Eagles team that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
