AFCON 2023: Thomas Partey missing as Hughton names Ghana’s 27-man squad

The head coach of the Ghana national team, Black Stars, Chris Hughton, has released his 27-team squad for the 2023 African Cup of Nations scheduled to kickoff in Côte d’Ivoire on January 12.
The final squad list for the four-winners includes their in-form midfielder Mohammed Kudus, who has scored 10 goals for West Ham across all competitions this season, Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams.
Also, the Ayew brothers, Andre and Jordan were named in the squad as well as Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo. Unfortunately for the Black Stars, Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey will not feature for them at the AFCON.
Mr Partey will remain in London as he recovers from injury that has kept him out of action for some time.
Ghana are drawn in Group B of the tournament alongside record winners Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique. The Black Stars would hope to better their last edition performance in which they finished bottom of their group.
