Adamawa State Government has begun distribution of educational materials to secondary schools across the 21 Local Government Areas to enhance learning.

The Executive Secretary, Post Primary School Management Board, Samuel Wegerang, inaugurated the distribution at Government Model and Modern College on Thursday, in Yola.

Mr Wegerang stated that the event was the second phase of such distributions to secondary schools, adding that the initiative was significant for promoting teaching and learning in the state.

He urged principals to ensure the effective distribution and use of the materials to enhance education.

Mr Wegerang commended the state governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, for his commitment to advancing education by ensuring quality and effective learning in a conducive environment.

He called on parents to support the government’s efforts and encourage teachers to collaborate with them to improve education, reduce the number of out-of-school children, and promote peace.

Principal, GMMC Yola, Muhammed Musa, received the instructional materials on behalf of the principals and pledged to utilise them effectively to improve education.

Mr Musa commended the government for prioritising the education sector and urged parents, teachers, and stakeholders to work together to further enhance the quality of education.

The educational materials included report sheet booklets, cartons of chalk, students files, cartoons of pen and paper among other essential materials.
