42 AAUA students bag first class, automatic employment

Ondo State-owned Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, has announced that 42 students from graduating class for the 2020/21 academic session made first class and would be conferred with first degrees during the institution’s 12th convocation ceremony this week.
The university announced this via its official X, formerly Twitter account on Monday, promising the 42 students automatic employment after youth service.
“Graduating 42 first class out of 5,249 that would be conferred with first degrees in the 2020/2021 #AAUAConvocation ceremony. A total of 180 postgraduate degree graduates with 24 PhD.
“First Class graduates would be given automatic jobs in the institution after NYSC. #AAUA,” the university posted on social media.
Days-long activities for the 12th AAUA convocation began last Friday with Jumat service at the institution’s mosque and will last till December 10, 2023, with an interdenominational service at the university’s multipurpose hall.
Graduating students from Faculties of Administration and Management Sciences; Education; Social Sciences, and Institute of Education and Institute of Part-Time programmes would be conferred with first degree on Friday.
Meanwhile, it would be the turn of graduating students from the Faculties of Agriculture, Arts, Science, and Law on Saturday. Also, awards of higher degrees and postgraduate diplomas on the same day.
