2023: Kaduna deputy gov urges women to vote APC to consolidate on achievements

Kaduna State deputy governor Hadiza Balarabe has asked women to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023 to consolidate the gains recorded in the last seven years.
Ms Balarabe gave the charge at the inauguration of local government coordinators of the APC Women Living with Disabilities Forum in Manchok, Kaura Local Government Area of the state.
The deputy governor, represented by Christiana Ayakpat, head of the human resource department of the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board, urged women to elect credible leaders in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
She advised the women not to see their condition as an impediment to making the right choice of leaders.
The deputy governor said the Nasir El-Rufai-led administration recognises women’s potential, hence their appointment to key positions in the state.
Earlier in her address, the forum convener, Lois Auta, said the forum was borne out of the need to get women living with disabilities involved in active politics.
Ms Auta commended the APC-led government for placing a premium on women who were hitherto relegated to the background in the scheme of things.
She said it was time for the women to reciprocate the gesture by voting massively for APC at all levels of governance in the country.
