2023: Electing right leaders will guarantee dividends of democracy, says senatorial candidate

Kolapo Kola-Daisi, Accord Party’s senatorial candidate for Oyo South, says dividends of democracy will be guaranteed if the right leaders are elected in 2023.
He told journalists on Sunday in Ibadan that the right leaders would combine competence with empathy.
“I strongly believe that politics is simple and governance can be demystified if we elect individuals who are capable and represent the true interest of the citizens.
“If we don’t reward ineptitude during the election cycle, it will be easier to get dividends of democracy and good governance, which I can assure you are abundant but rarely seen,” the politician said.
He said he would do his best to empower his constituents if elected.
Mr Kola-Daisi reckons true representation is best done when public officials are available and constantly consult with the people.
