16 lives lost, property worth N21 million destroyed in one month: Kano Fire Service

Kano State Fire Service says 16 lives were lost, while property worth N21 million were destroyed during fire incidents in one month.
Its spokesman, Saminu Abdullahi stated on Tuesday in Kano that the service also saved 92 lives and property worth N55 million in 60 fire incidents in May.
“The service responded to 35 distress calls and seven false alarms in May,’’ he stated.
Mr Abdullahi advised the public to clear drainages as the rainy approaches to avoid flooding and other unforeseen circumstances.
